Classic Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1/2 cup ricotta

  • 1 egg

  • 1 piece of bread (preferably stale)

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. To a large bowl, add the ground beef, ricotta, egg, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper. Run the stale bread under the sink for a few seconds and squeeze gently to release any excess water. Add to the bowl. Using your hands, combine the ingredients until well mixed.

  3. Roll the meat mixture into golf-ball size rounds and arrange evenly on a sheet pan. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through. Serve with sauce and a side of bread or pasta if desired.
